2022 ScienceFest

Lab members:
Demos: Catalase- and yeast-catalyzed elephant’s toothpaste, bromelain- or pineapple-catalyzed gelatin degradation. In both cases, we looked at relative rates of reactions using purified enzyme and enzyme from a natural source. We also developed a simple paper/paper clip model for protein folding for participants to take home.
